Daily Living Plan

One of the most powerful tools we have is what we do each day to give our ambitions, passions and goals life.

We all have the same 24 hours in each day. What are you doing with yours? After you take in account your sleeping, ablutions (showering, etc.) and meal time, you have approximately 13 hours left to work with. The quality of how we spend this time drives our lives - or stagnates them.

Once you've decided on your goals, its smart to divide your time into segments that will give each objective time to evolve through daily practice/performance. Depending on your lifestyle and career path its important to build in flexible structure for a daily routine which best suits individual circumstances.

Some tasks require daily attention, while others require weekly or monthly planning. For example, grocery shopping may need a weekly approach for a family, but perhaps daily for a single person. A person working evenings has different needs than a day worker, or an entrepreneur has dissimilar needs to an employee, manager or CEO.

What’s important is understanding your unique lifestyle needs, objectives and directions, then mapping out a timetable that fits everything in. Remember even 10 minutes every day over the course of a year has massive impact. And it’s far better to do a little every day than to play catch-up once a week. Like kids, animals and plants, consistency instills security and trust, and it allows skill to be honed and solidifies direction. So give yourself the gift of consistency.

Its important to remember if you are consistently doing and living your dreams, passions and excitements, then you’ll be experiencing delight, accomplishment, increased self-esteem and joy with every step. Energy soars and depression dissipates.

Check back every 3 months, see how on target you are and make notes. Adjust when you need to and make it a conscious decision. Then once a year read over your journals and re-set your pathways, noting your accomplishments. Give yourself rewards and enhance your plans even further.
